  1. When you open the app for the first time, your phone will display an E911 notice followed by the software EULA. Upon clicking OK you will be brought to a Permissions page which will pop-up a series of prompts asking for various permissions, which can be answered with "While using the app." You may decline Allworx's access to your contacts if you so choose.
  2. You will then be prompted to enter the following server settings:
    ADDRESS    allworx.portcityair.corp,allworx.portcityair.com
NAME       username (this will be first-initial-last-name, e.g. pmccullough)
    PASSWORD   <user-defined password>
  3. You'll then use the Login link in the upper right, bringing you to the following prompt: "Would you like to setup a handset?" to which you will choose Yes.
  4. You will see an option to migrate your Allworx handset license from another device (if you are setting up a new phone, for example) or to assign a new license to your current device if applicable.
  5. If your connection is successful you will see "In Office" across the top of the status bar of your device, alongside your extension and name.
  6. On the row of tabs immediately below, select the Info tab on the far right. Go through the Settings and ensure the following options are set as following - all other options are optional:
 Settings > General:
   Auto-Claim Handset      Yes
Settings > Handset Preferences:
   Audible Dialing         On
   Intercom Auto Answer    Always OFF
   Off Hook Ringing        On
Settings > Reach Link:
   Longer Interruptions    My Cell
   Final Action            your voicemail
To test calling functionality, dial an extension and allow it to ring. Make note of your network settings, ensuring that you are on WiFi if it's available. Allworx can function on mobile data (4G, 5G, LTE) however due to the nature of VoIP network traffic you may notice compression or lower call quality than on WiFI connections. While data consumption on calls is relatively insignifcant, be aware that this does utilize mobile data and counts towards any data caps you may have (not applicable on company-issued devices).
My Handset menu will allow you to Release or Delete a device, freeing up a license to use on another device.
Go Offline is used in instances where Allworx is being used on a personal device, and you do not wish to receive calls or notifications while off-shift or on vacation. Alternatively, you may change your status in the Phone tab to the same statuses that are available on our Allworx desk phones:
In Office, At a Meeting, On Vacation, On Business Trip, At Home, Away, Busy, Do Not Disturb.
